Funny

I saw this and it made me laugh.

March 28, 2008

Finally, after 95 Years!

It's what they've been waiting for for almost a century! Edward Mandell House and Paul Warburg would be so proud!

In the past two weeks, the Federal Reserve, long the guardian of the nation's banks, has redefined its role to also become protector and overseer of Wall Street.

Story here.

The reporter ironically and prophetically alluded to crossing the Rubicon. Perfect, simply perfect.

It's a Trap?

OK, I have refrained from writing too much about the so-called IRS Stimulus Check coming to us, at a cost of -42 billion dollars, give or take -12 billion or so (it's borrowed money). I've seen everyone, everywhere blabbering on and on about it. Most of the complaints are about the president's urging us to spend the money like drunken sailors; others are questioning why the government doesn't just lower taxes. I'm not one to write about a topic that everyone and their blogging mother is writing about, but...

I have not seen ONE single person express suspicion that in order to get the money, you have to:

1. File with the IRS even if you do not owe taxes.
2. Get a Social Security number if you do not have one.

Doesn't anyone at all have the nagging suspicion that the IRS just wants us to file and get our information? That this is a data mine? Gotta wonder... I know it's totally beyond the scope of the beneficent and paternal IRS to do such a nasty deceptive thing, but...Cui bono?

Why We Are Not A Democracy

"It is an unquestionable truth, that the body of the people in every country desire sincerely its prosperity. But it is equally unquestionable that they do not possess the discernment and stability necessary for systematic government. To deny that they
are frequently led into the grossest of errors, by misinformation and passion, would be a flattery which their own good sense must despise."

-- Alexander Hamilton (speech to the Ratifying Convention of New York, June 1788)

McGovern: Hillary Ruins Our Fun

Classic, simply classic, buffooning this week. Here's a gem from the Asscoiated Press: McGovern Says Hard to Elect Female President:

WASHINGTON (AP) - Former Sen. George McGovern, the 1972 Democratic presidential nominee, said Tuesday it would be easier for a black man to be elected to the White House than a woman.

... McGovern says he occasionally chats with men who don't think a woman is ready for the responsibility.

"Some guy will say, 'Well, I think that's too big a job for a woman, I don't think she can handle those terrorists,'" he said, adding that he seldom hears the same thing said about a black man.

This has got to be the first time I have ever heard a man say-- with puffed chest-- that a woman is is not ready for the "responsibility." I know that men think it, but who has the gall to admit it? It's a known fact that women, by nature, are more responsible than men, and that men, by nature, are always primed for irresponsibility. The women's suffrage movement proves that... ha! (joke!)

McGovern canNOT tell the truth, can he? What he is really saying is that a woman (who is not an intern, secretary, and/or prostitute) will muck up the Good Old Boys Network. She'll spoil our fun! No more nude babes popping out of cakes in the lounges! No more dirty jokes in the halls!

I'm just as against Hillary for president as anybody. But I'm not against her because she is a woman. If only Margaret Thatcher were running for office-- now that's responsible leadership. McGovern is hiding something and he is using the typical male peacock excuse.

Hillary is a kook. Hillary is a liar. Hillary has ambitions and these ambitions have nothing to do with protecting and defending the U.S. Constitution! That's why wise men (and women) are against Hillary.

It's insulting to men to say that a "woman isn't ready for the responsibility" as president. And it's so transparent that you look like an idiot, McGovern.

No More Warrants for Strip Searches?

Court OKs police body search without warrant

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York's top court ruled Tuesday that police can strip-search and look inside an arrested person's body cavities without a warrant if they reasonably suspect there's concealed evidence inside. But they can't do a manual cavity search without first getting a court warrant.

In a 5-2 Court of Appeals ruling, Judge Victoria Graffeo noted the U.S. Supreme Court already allowed warrantless strip searches and visual inspections for pretrial detainees following visitations. She wrote that "reasonableness" is the "ultimate touchstone" for the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable searches.

"We conclude that a visual body inspection may be conducted if the police have a factual basis supporting a reasonable suspicion that the arrestee has evidence concealed inside a body cavity and the search is conducted in a reasonable manner," Graffeo wrote, emphasizing it cannot be routine. "There must be particular, individualized facts known to the police that justify subjecting an arrestee to these procedures."

This ruling is absolutely terrifying. How dare these courts- including the Supreme Court-- suspend our Constitutional right to be secure in our person and property.

"Reasonableness" is the "touchstone," the judge says. No, the "touchstone" is WARRANT. That warrant guarantees that you can't manhandle innocent (or even guilty) citizens until your "evidence" is reviewed by a third party.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Doesn't ANYBODY remember this? Do school kids even know the fourth amendment anymore??

This ruling is a horrible breach to our Bill of Rights. Year after year, we see the government chipping away at our Constitutional rights. Sooner or later, there won't be anything to chip at anymore, and we know where we'll be then. Right back where we were 250+ years ago-- as slaves and pawns under a tyrannical government.

Are we still in America?

Sore Losers

I saw the headline yesterday, If You Think It's Bad Here, Don't Try Switzerland. It's a "news" story about how crappy the U.S. is in comparison to wonderful paradises, like the UK. The "news" story is from the UK, by the way, the Times Online. Surprise surprise.

The United Kingdom has been ranked as one of the most stable and prosperous countries in the world, beating the United States, France and even Switzerland in a global assessment of every nation’s achievements and standards.

A one-year investigation and analysis of 235 countries and dependent territories has put the UK joint seventh in the premier league of nations. The top ten comprise also the Vatican, Sweden, Luxembourg, Monaco, Gibraltar, San Marino, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands and the Irish Republic.

The US lies 22nd and Switzerland, normally associated with wealth and untouchable stability, is rated 17th, losing points in the assessment of its social achievements.

According to this wacked-out story, train bombings have very little influence on how stable and safe a country is. Personal firearms, however, make a country DANGEROUS.

The UK received high marks despite the deployment of combat troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, the suicide bombings in London on July 7, 2005, the continuing threat from home-grown terrorists and the collapse of the Northern Rock bank.

...the US had fallen down the scale, although it still scored an average of 93 out of 100, partly because of the proliferation of small arms owned by Americans and the threat to the population posed by the flow of drugs from across the Mexican border.

What a bunch of sore losers! The Brits are still belly-aching over our Second Amendment!

So let me ask YOU: would you rather live in the UK or in the Vatican or in Liechtenstein... or in the United States? Why? Would it be because you FEAR personal firearms in the U.S.? Do you FEAR Mexican drugs?

The problems the United States is having is not because of our Constitutional rights. Our Constitutional rights are the very things that have made our country stable (OK, HOW many forms of government has France had again?! How many riots?! How many bombings and threats in the UK?!). The things making the U.S. unstable is the casting off of restraint in this country-- the moral vacuum and materialist/humanist culture-- and the corruption in politics and government. But I'd never expect the European elite to understand that. So much for their "research." It's all just hot air, contributing to their global warming. It's not any better than the pebble-based research going on in other areas...

The Dooming Leadline

Oops. That's a little Bushism there. I meant "Looming Deadline." But "Dooming Leadline" will do, also. What am I babbling about?

Chertoff: ID must comply to fly Are you prepared to be tagged by our government? Or will you resist?

For weeks, the Homeland Security Department has been headed toward a showdown with some states over a law called Real ID, which would require new security measures for state-issued driver's licenses. Yet a late Good Friday letter from a top DHS official suggested Washington may be backing away from a messy fight.

South Carolina, Maine and Montana are the only states that have not sought extensions to comply, or already started toward compliance with Real ID, which was passed after the 2001 terror attacks on New York and Washington.

...Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff had warned that if holdout states do not send a letter by the end of March seeking an extension, come May, residents of such states will no longer be able to use their driver's licenses as valid ID to board airplanes or enter federal buildings.

Such travelers would instead have to present a passport or be subjected to secondary screening.

All the states should be adamantly resisting this orwellian "act" (it's NOT A LAW, Mr. Reporter) of controlling our movement in this country?! Why won't the government close the borders, why would they open wide the highways for Mexican drivers, but have law-abiding rights-protected American citizens SURVEILLED and MONITORED?! What?!

People, we are losing our country! You'd better call your state legislators and demand that they get off their butts to work overtime to start fulfilling their oath to protect, defend, and honor the U.S. Constitution.

A Paragon of What's Wrong With NY

Remember that collapsed construction crane news story that everyone tsk'ed tsk'ed about earlier in the week? More info is leaking out.

A city inspector has been charged with lying about checking on a construction crane that later collapsed, killing seven people in a dense Manhattan neighborhood, officials said Thursday.

Edward Marquette was arrested Wednesday on charges of falsifying business records, buildings Commissioner Patricia Lancaster said.

"We will not tolerate this kind of behavior at the Department of Buildings," she said.

A complaint about the crane was logged March 4 to a city hot line, officials said, and Marquette said he inspected it. It was later determined he had not.

... The gigantic piece of machinery toppled over when a six-ton steel collar used to secure the crane to the building came loose, plunging into another collar that acted as a major anchor. Without that support, it came tumbling down with terrifying force.

The collapse followed weeks of complaints by people in the neighborhood that the crane didn't appear safe.

Why would a city inspector lie about a crane that had received numerous public complaints? Go ahead and guess.

The attitude "The people be d**ned" is the attitude New York state has of its citizens. How many cranes will we suffer until these politicians and their cronies are kicked out? Or shall we continue to opt for the long, slow death?

Abortions Make You Crazy

They can't blame it on PMS anymore. It's abortion that drives the women crazy.

Women may be at risk of mental health breakdowns if they have abortions, a medical royal college has warned. The Royal College of Psychiatrists says women should not be allowed to have an abortion until they are counselled on the possible risk to their mental health.

This overturns the consensus that has stood for decades that the risk to mental health of continuing with an unwanted pregnancy outweighs the risks of living with the possible regrets of having an abortion.

What a change.

More than 90% of the 200,000 terminations in Britain every year are believed to be carried out because doctors believe that continuing with the pregnancy would cause greater mental strain.

You know, if doctors were forced to pay for the abortions that they recommend their patients, I'll bet there would be a lot fewer abortions. I'll bet you'd see an IMMEDIATE change. There's obviously a financial incentive for abortionists "to believe" that continuing a pregnancy would cause greater strain.

Greater strain to their wallets, they mean.

Aborting Black Babies is OK...

... with Planned Parenthood. It has always been OK with Planned Parenthood. What is this I read today?

Planned Parenthood of Idaho officials apologized Wednesday for what they called an employee's "serious mistake" in encouraging a donation aimed at aborting black babies.

They also criticized The Advocate, a right-to-life student magazine at the University of California-Los Angeles, for trying to discredit Planned Parenthood employees in seven states in a series of tape-recorded phone calls last summer.

The call to Idaho came in July to Autumn Kersey, vice president of development and marketing for Planned Parenthood of Idaho.

On the recording provided by The Advocate, an actor portraying a donor said he wanted his money used to eliminate black unborn children because "the less black kids out there the better."

Kersey laughed nervously and said: "Understandable, understandable. ... Excuse my hesitation, this is the first time I've had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I'm excited and want to make sure I don't leave anything out."

\What's the big deal? This is what Planned Parenthood was formed to DO, people! Margaret Sanger-- founder of Planned Parenthood-- wanted to get rid of the "human weeds" out there. She PROMOTED the murder of innocent, unborn blacks, Jews, and poor people.

If anything, the BIG headline should be that blacks, Jews, and the poor STILL go to Planned Parenthood as if those murderers care about them. Now that's news.

Gov. Spitzer Was Creating Jobs!

In the continuing saga....

The latest (and never-ending stream of) gossip is that Governor Eliot Spitzer was using his campaign cash for his frequent visits to the nefarious Emperor's Club VIP. True? False? Who knows, but the speculation rolls on!

However, we can turn this all around to work out for Governor Spitzer. Actually, my idea just might start a revolution in political careering--

Governor Spitzer was actually CREATING JOBS! Think of it! Those girls had high-paying jobs thanks to him! (Not to mention whoever the other "high officials" are who have been patronizing the ring). What would those girls be doing if they weren't assisting men like Spitzer and his cronies? Why, they'd be stuck at dead-end jobs at WalMart or Wegmans! Who wants to stand over a customer and say "Paper or plastic?" all day? Spitzer and the Emperor's Club was giving those young ladies hope in an otherwise bleak economic climate here in New York.

I think Governor Spitzer just might be starting something NEW in New York! We could make the hotels of the state Empire Zones. Imagine-- Emperor's Clubs everywhere, in Empire Zones, all taxpayer-funded. It couldn't be more perfect.

Be a Patriot: Go Shopping!

The stupidity-- nay, maliciousness-- of the current administration does not cease to amaze me. Although, I will admit, that previous administrations have been just as malicious. President Bush and his lackeys (all except Rush Limbaugh, who is still repeating the "the economy is BOOMING" mantra) have finally admitted that "the economy has slowed a little." A little?! When you see a rise in government jobs and a severe drop in private-sector jobs, bells and whistles should be sounding off! Unless, of course, that is the entire intent of the administration (and the money-lenders).

Congress passed and Bush signed a stimulus package that will send tax rebates to many families and businesses. But some fear it will come too late—or that people will use the money to save or pay off debt, rather than go on a spending spree that will boost the economy.

Bush gently urged people to do the latter. "When the money reaches the American people, we expect it to boost consumer spending," he said.

In other words-- spend, people! Spend that money just like the consumerist materialists we have trained you to be! Yippie-ti-yi-yo!

They really, really believe we are stupid. And hell, why shouldn't we be? After years and years of public education and television indoctrination, aren't we all just materialist apes looking out for number one?

Some of us are beyond that. Some of us realize that debt as a sign of wealth is a dangerous position for a nation to be in. Some of us realize that this "stimulus package" comes off the backs of the workers of the future-- those same workers who also have the Medicaid drug packages on their backs, etc etc.

Someone please tell me how we are going to pay for all this?

Oh, all right, I'll answer the question myself.

We will be expected to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice. Slavery, people. That's how we will be forced to pay this off. Fascism, people. It's called fascism.
